Kitchen assistant
Kitchen assistants are continually sought in restaurants, hotels and canteens. Often with accommodation and meals provided by the employer.
Typical duties
- 01Prepare vegetables, meat and side dishes
- 02Plate dishes and assist the chef
- 03Keep the wash-up area and kitchen clean
- 04Support goods receipt and storage
Requirements
- No qualification required
- Hygiene awareness; the statutory briefing takes place on site
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
The statutory minimum wage in Germany is €13,90 gross per hour (2026). Many sectors apply higher collective or sector minimum wages.
