Courier driver
Courier work is more granular than parcel delivery: fewer stops, but time-critical consignments and often direct customer contact.
Typical duties
- 01Move time-critical consignments between companies, clinics or branches
- 02Accept and confirm jobs via app or dispatcher
- 03Secure loads and observe temperature requirements, e.g. medical transport
- 04Check vehicle condition and fuel levels daily
Requirements
- Category B licence, often covering vans up to 3.5 t
- Reliability within fixed time windows
- Local knowledge is not required; navigation is provided
The statutory minimum wage in Germany is €13,90 gross per hour (2026). Many sectors apply higher collective or sector minimum wages.
