Order picker
Order pickers assemble orders in the warehouse. The work is paced and usually measured by units — but it is quick to learn.
Typical duties
- 01Assemble orders from a pick list or voice-picking system
- 02Pick goods onto pallets or into containers and secure them
- 03Check quantities and batches, report shortfalls
- 04Hand picked goods over to the dispatch area
Requirements
- Care and a steady working pace
- No qualification needed; training is provided on site
- Willingness to work shifts and, in some firms, in chilled areas
The statutory minimum wage in Germany is €13,90 gross per hour (2026). Many sectors apply higher collective or sector minimum wages.
