Heating, sanitation and ventilation are among the areas with the greatest skills shortage in Germany — and among the best-paid trades.
Typical duties
- 01Lay pipework for water, heating and gas
- 02Install sanitary ware, radiators and heat generators
- 03Fill, bleed and pressure-test systems
- 04Carry out maintenance and fault clearance at customer premises
Requirements
- Experience with pipe fitting, soldering or press connections
- Clean working practice in occupied buildings
- Work on gas installations requires additional certification
